SpotiParty

SpotiParty is a python-based application that creates a unique light show based on user’s Spotify music. The program analyzes a songs’ characteristics (BPM, time signature, loudness, etc…) provided by the Spotify API and then adjusts the color and brightness of any connected Yeelight bulb, all in real-time and on-beat with the song. The song playback and lightshow can also be controlled from a custom-made remote.

SpotiParty final group project for ME 100 at UC Berkeley created by myself and Zeyad El-Arabaty. I focused on making the Spotify remote and designing the algorithm to analyze a song and create the light sequences.
